Strawberry Syrup

Strawberry Syrup is very easy and delicious to make at home in a few minutes. Strawberry Syrup can be used on many items like ice cream, pan cakes, waffels and shakes. This perfect syrup is best for drizzling on your favorite ones. Here’s the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice.
  • 2-3 cups of strawberries.
  • Half cup of water.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preparations:

Wash the strawberries and rinse them, then cut them into small pieces.

  • Syrup:

Add strawberries, water and sugar into the pan, put the pan on a medium flame, stir them well until the sugar melt and dissolves very well. When mixture begins to simmer the reduce the flame heat and let the mixture cook for 10 to 15 minutes, when strawberries getting soft and syrup thicken them reduce the heat more.

  • Strain:

If you like pulpy syrup then use as it is but if you like smooth texture then use potato masher to mash the strawberries or for more smoother texture strain the syrup through mesh sieve and remove the solids.

  • Add lime and store:

Add lime or lemon juice (optional) to enhance the flavor or for tangy twist, it will balance the sweetness. Let the syrup cool down and pour it into the glass jar and store it into the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
